Writing with much needed supplies - a pen, paper and SUGAR!
It’s almost been two months in my new writing job, and I tell you what: I’m all written out.
Play on words
I am often asked how my new book is going or when I am next updating my blog, but to be honest, I absolutely cannot be bagged to write any more after a seven-hour day of constant wordsmithing.
A job is a job is a job at the end of the day. And while I bound out of bed every day, lunch time politely taps me on the shoulder instead of slowly ticking down, and 6 pm is a surprise instead of a stretch, you just need a break from writing no matter how much you love it.
After all, you don’t want the playa to start hatin’ the game.
Back in the game
I am writing, these blog posts keep me sane and my voice alive [some may see this as a worry but trust me, writers know this is a benefit]. The book is just on hold for a while until I find the inspiration or it finds me first.

I sympathise. Gawd, I’m gonna be about 400 words over this month, and I’ll have to chop it back (meanwhile I can barely string a sentence together at the moment). I gotta find the inspiration to format the choccy book sometime, the writing was actually the fun bit!

Oh! I hate to ‘kill my darlings’! I am thinking that will be my next blog post. I like the the possible inspiration for your chocolate book: eating it!
How is that coming along?
