Walk like an Egyptian…”E”

Egyptian in Rozelle

E is for Egyptian

Tagine, 679 Darling St, Rozelle, Sydney, Australia

Organised by SEZ on Friday night, June 2009

Blonde waitresses take their trays
They spin around and they cross the floor
They’ve got the moves (oh whey oh)
You drop your drink then they bring you more

8 Epicurians

The Originals (minus Dave), Ari, Sez, Nat, Dan, and Ange.

This time, Dave didn’t get the memo. Even though Sez sent out a beautiful invite with a personalised poem highlighting Dave’s habitual lateness (missing the “C” dinner, a little late to “B” and “D“), he showed Sez what being late really means – not turning up!

Entrees and Mains

The waiter suggested a banquet for our large group.

Harissa dip and lamb shoulder (so tender!) were the standouts. We also fought over the meatballs. [Adrian got the last one, only because he poked me with his fork.]

Evaluation

8.5/10

Pros – Nice and easy banquet [a taste of everything]. Great location. Friendly staff if not too attentive.

Cons - Closed up early.

After-party antics

Drunken dancing on MJ’s death (This is THRILLER!) at Bungalow 8 at my friend Nancy’s farewell.

Beating it at a Sydney club, Bungalow 8.
