All together now!
And I’ll be your friend…I’ll help you carry onnnnn….wooo woo whoaaaa!
Ah, support is one of the greatest things. Some of my best friends’ comments before my book tour at Chullora Public School on Thursday:
“Ha. Good luck Mr Wong! If they ask you if they can go to the toilet, let them go. You don’t need any accident on your tour. Ha.” The ever-lovely and optimistic David Mahoney.
“Good luck, behave and listen to your teacher.” The person who takes me most seriously in the world, Adrian Zilinsky.
“Don’t hold back any of the Keira charm and character.” Now that’s more like it! An unusually above the belt compliment from Barry Freedman. Just kidding, he is always very supportive of me. But it’s usually wrapped in a pun reserved for 18+ audiences.
“You will be awesome.” [What do you mean ‘will be’? Not ‘are’?] Another unusually clean, G rated message from Natalie Arad. But I won’t post her subsequent messages.
Big props to my unwavering base of beautiful friends and family:
- Mum
- Sisters, Kobie and Angela
- Brother, Dai
- Cousin and my web designer, Belinda
- The Cahills (Jeanine, Dave and 8 year old Jack)
- GREAT friends aka the one syllable name gang: Nat, Bare, Pat, Dave, Adz, Kel, Jame, Sez, Jacks, and the odd ones out with multi-syllable names: Ali, Simone, and Nancy.
Eating: Nothing.
Drinking: Water.
Listening: to the hum of the air conditioning. Beautiful day today!
[Wow, sounds like I'm on some freaky diet!]
